YALE Performance- Not for Sale Campaign opening for The Wrecking

(Report on our Feb. 15 show!)

We were psyched to open for the talented members of The Wrecking. Our project was well received, people seemed moved by The Purple Song music and story.

Vanessa with the other musicians at Yale University, New Haven, Ct. Not for Sale Campaign tour featuring The Wrecking.
The Wrecking sounded amazing and were truly a great bunch of guys!
They are still on their US Tour-- we encourage you to check out their website.

Where we are in the recovery business, as the speakers pointed out, the "I Am Not For Sale" campaign is all about the prevention of the abuse and violence that so many victims go through. Up until organizations such as the not for sale campaign  came along to make us more aware, this modern day slavery was going on in secret.

But then again-- so was abuse, ((in secret.))

and it still is, of course.

Ethan, of the The Not For Sale Campaign announced there were 13 people that signed up to partner with the organization and sponsor a monthly donation.

Plus, Vanessa has a  possible recording/co-writing with the boys' recording studio, Halo Productions (maybe) in the future. Co-writing ROCKS!*:)

More to report on the issue of trafficking:

A gripping thriller, ripped from the headlines! Hannah believes she's being brought from Moldova to Los Angeles to become a nanny for a Russian family. But her American dream quickly spirals into a nightmare. The Platonovs force Hannah to work sixteen-hour days, won't let her leave the house, and seem to have a lot of secrets - from Hannah and from each other. Stranded in a foreign land with false documents, no money, and nobody who can help her, Hannah must find a way to save herself from her new status as a modern-day slave or risk losing the one thing she has left: her life. There is a new book, called "Trafficked" which I will be checking out and plan to read in the nearby future. It's fictional, and just came out this year by Kim Purcell, but tells a story of hundred of thousands of women who are trafficked each year. Check it out!
